3 Little Kindle Tips for Beginners

I thought I might kick off with some basic tips for the Kindle - particularly those really simple things I wish I had known when I first got my Kindle.

1. You don't need to turn your Kindle off completely

You can either let it go to sleep on its own or slide and release the little slider at the bottom. This will print a picture to the E-Ink display. One of the lovely things about the Kindle is that it only uses power to print the page no matter how long it is displayed for.

2. Only switch on your WiFi if you need it

Your battery will last for ages if you don't have your WiFi switched on.

3. Move the cursor to the beginning of a word to get its dictionary definition

This is a lovely little feature which means you can understand what you are reading without having to search out a dictionary and look it up yourself.
